Muffin the Supercat

Hi. I like to sit on our porch. Up North I'd sit outside with my Grampy. The leaves would change color. They'd fall off the trees and I'd chase them. Down here the leaves don't change color toomuch, but some fall down. They scuttle across the porch. I like to watch them.
Yesterday Grampy and I were on the porch, minding our own business. It was windy and my fur was rumpled, so I was giving myself a bath. All of a sudden a tan rat on a leash ran up to the railing and started barking. At me. His human told him to shut up, but the dumb thing wouldn't listen. I hunched up my back and hissed. He wouldn't back down. So I did the only thing a kitty could do. I jumped through the railing and tackled him. Well, I didn't actually land on him.... Gampy yelled for me. The lady with the leash grabbed her rat and was very upset. Hey, I wasn't going to let a runny-eyed yapper half my size invade my space. Plus, he threatened my family.
Later when Mommy found out about it she told me what a good boy I was and gave me a treat.

Well, you have to protect your domain! Stupid rat. That'll teach it to bark at a kitty.

I'm sorry you can't comment on my blog... I dunno why it won't work, that makes me sad.

I'm in complete agreement, Muffin. You just can't have all the dogs around thinking they can invade your space and intrude on your time with your Grampy! You did the right thing and I'm sure that interloper will think twice before he approaches your porch again! A well-placed claw and a few hisses can work wonders, can't they?
