Hi! Merry Christmas ! My family used to put up a very nice tree. It had musical lights, blinking lights, shiny garlands and lots of balls hung all over. I used to lay under it all the time. Okay, so there was one long hanging ornament that I used to thwack with my tail. And occasionally I'd swat at the balls on the lower branches. But I loved that tree. It brought the outdoors indoors.
Now they put up this stupid three foot high bush. What a waste. It goes on top of this table, so I can't crawl under it. It has lights and smaller balls and isn't nearly as pretty.
The bush was sitting on the floor todat. So I headbutted it. I didn't know the stupid thing was going to fall over. Nothing broke. I don"t know why everyone was so upset.

Shopping
Hi! Mommy and Granny went shopping yesterday. They brought home lots of bags for me to look in. Mommy bought a blue shirt with green leaves on it. Since blue and green are my favorite colors I went and laid on it. It sure was comfortable.
Mommy is very busy at work, so I'll close for now.

Muffin the Supercat
Hi. I like to sit on our porch. Up North I'd sit outside with my Grampy. The leaves would change color. They'd fall off the trees and I'd chase them. Down here the leaves don't change color toomuch, but some fall down. They scuttle across the porch. I like to watch them.
Yesterday Grampy and I were on the porch, minding our own business. It was windy and my fur was rumpled, so I was giving myself a bath. All of a sudden a tan rat on a leash ran up to the railing and started barking. At me. His human told him to shut up, but the dumb thing wouldn't listen. I hunched up my back and hissed. He wouldn't back down. So I did the only thing a kitty could do. I jumped through the railing and tackled him. Well, I didn't actually land on him.... Gampy yelled for me. The lady with the leash grabbed her rat and was very upset. Hey, I wasn't going to let a runny-eyed yapper half my size invade my space. Plus, he threatened my family.
Later when Mommy found out about it she told me what a good boy I was and gave me a treat.

About Mommy
HI! It's Tracy, Muffin's mother, here. I'm feeling better.I just wanted to give you some info about me:
- I have blue eyes, brown hair and wear glasses. I work as a research assistant at a local library. On my own I do genealogical research and study Colonial America history. I've toyed with the idea of doing a book. Someday. I'd also like to get my Ph.D
_ I'm not a geek. I underline in books and clip and highlight magazine articles, but I stink at math, don"t play chess, dislike most video games and never shop at Radio Shack.
I'm from New England. I now live in Florida. Florida attracts the crooked, the strange, the elderly, the curious, the shady and the stoned. It's a land of hanging chads and butterfly ballots, hurricanes and alligators, drug runners and Mickey Mouse. Every personality type on the planet is smooshed together on a shaky peninsula between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
-My sport is figure skating.
My son now gets his blog back. Tracy

Bluejays
I birdwatched today. Bluejays are smart, industrious and bold. They make a sound that is like a caw combined with a shriek. Boo shrieks to announce his presence. Mommy tosses him some peanuts. He and his friends gather in my tree. They wait for the Top Bird to appear. He goes down to the ground for a peanut first. The others wait their turns. Boo is one of the last to eat. He doesn't go hungry, though. I make sure Mommy sees to that.

Fat Cat Muffin
Fat Cat Muffin
Hi! I was sitting on the patio with my mommy when a new bluejay flew by. He took one look at me and reversed directions
in mid-air. I meowed at him and told him that I liked birds and would never hurt him. He flew back and now we're buds. His name is Boo.
